Job Description

As the Quality Control Technician, you will follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods. You will compare the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment, and products to technical specifications to identify defects. As well as conduct simple tests (for example on electrical function, reliability, packaging quality); record results and prepare simple technical reports.

SHIFT: This will be a Monday-Thursday position, 6AM to 4:30PM

You will be located at PPG's Euclid, OH plant, and report to the Quality Services Manager. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

Maintain batch logs, data entry and lab notes
Test for wet chemistry properties such as: pH, Viscosity, Density, Acid/Base Titration, etc.
Perform troubleshooting activities as it relates to batch issues
Set-up laboratory equipment and calibration of equipment and 5S responsibilities

Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED required
2+ years of lab testing experience
Experience with Excel and Microsoft suite products
Communication skills (both oral and written)
Mathematical skills and basic chemistry preferred
