Shawnee State University's Radiologic Technology Program seeks a dedicated and qualified program director/faculty member to develop a new program at Chillicothe location meeting JRCERT-accreditation standards. The program director/faculty member will be responsible for delivering didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) curriculum standards. This position plays a vital role in preparing students to become competent, compassionate, and ethical radiologic technologists.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out program director responsibilities for new program at additional location, including program development, program accreditation and assessment processes, budget planning, and leadership for effective program operations.
- Deliver course content aligned with the ASRT Radiography Curriculum to meet JRCERT accreditation standards.
- Provide instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings, incorporating current best practices in radiologic technology.
- Assess student learning outcomes through examinations, projects, and practical evaluations.
- Supervise students during laboratory and clinical education to ensure competency development and compliance with JRCERT student-to-clinical staff ratios.
- Collaborate with clinical preceptors and site supervisors to ensure quality clinical experiences.
- Participate in student advisement, mentoring, and academic support activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress.
- Engage in curriculum development and continuous program improvement based on assessment data and feedback.
- Complete program accreditation activities, including preparation of self-studies, reports, and site visits.
- Facilitate and participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and institutional service activities.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies and JRCERT accreditation standards.

1. Master’s degree in a related field
2. Minimum of two years’ experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
3. Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising
4. Current Ohio and Kentucky Radiography License (or eligible for each license by time of hire)
5. Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration or equivalent in radiography
6. Minimum of three years’ clinical experience in the professional discipline
7. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Additional ARRT certifications in CT, MRI, or other advanced modalities
2. Radiography/related field educational program director experience
3. Experience with JRCERT accreditation processes and ASRT curriculum guidelines
4. Experience with learning management systems and educational technology for delivery of distance education model
