Job Purpose
- Support and contribute to the mission, goals, and objectives of the Boys & Girls Club at Bradfield Center (BGCBC).
- Perform janitorial duties to ensure facilities are clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe environment for all personnel at all times.
- Perform safety-related inspections and activities, including snow removal, salting walkways, debris removal, spill cleanup, and hazard reporting.
- Ensure all chemicals are properly labeled, stored, and used according to safety instructions.
- Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and stairs; maintain non-slip surfaces.
- Strip, clean, buff, seal, and finish hard surface floors.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets as needed.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms following established SOPs.
- Clean and sanitize break rooms, including sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators.
- Clean windows, windowsills, and blinds (interior and accessible exterior).
- Dust and clean uncluttered desks and office furniture.
- Thoroughly vacuum offices at least weekly.
- Empty trash, replace liners, and clean receptacles as needed.
- Assist with setup and breakdown for meetings, events, classrooms, and conferences.
- Move furniture, equipment, tools, and supplies as needed.
- Maintain janitorial closets, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and safe manner.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Maintain and service janitorial equipment and tools.
- Attend required safety and cleaning-related training.
- Use and maintain power equipment and hand tools.
- Launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
- Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required.
- Respond to emergencies as necessary.
- No interaction with children at any time.
Handy Person Duties
- Perform minor repairs and installations involving walls, floors, ceilings, windows, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Paint and make facility improvements as needed.
- Maintain grounds including mowing, debris removal, fencing, and safety hazard removal.
- Handle recycling materials.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Assist with events or Club activities as needed.
- Complete assigned duties within reasonable accommodations and operational needs.

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10-panel drug screen.
- Maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and carry items routinely.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to move across indoor and outdoor surfaces.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at least 20 feet.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and speech for emergency response.
