Your Opportunity as the Senior Analyst, Sustainability

Serve as a key user of the Company's sustainability information management system for acquiring and maintaining a verifiable and auditable sustainability inventory, institutionalizing processes, enhancing data quality, streamlining reporting and increasing analytical robustness for the Company. Support internal teams in achieving packaging goals by facilitating recycling instructions, labeling compliance, and environmental impact assessments. Support efforts to increase employee engagement and communication related to sustainability activities with a focus on efforts at headquarters.

Location: Orrville, OH

Work Arrangements: hybrid, 9 days in the officer per month or more depending on business needs

In this role you will:

Environmental Data Management & Reporting:

Become the key user of Enablon, our sustainability data management system including assessing accuracy, trouble-shooting, creating dashboards and reports, analyzing anomalies & identifying trends in data.

Co-facilitator of the Green House Gas (GHG) accounting data for external audit.

OPEX (Operational Excellence) Support:

Ensure accurate data management and system integrity by maintaining Enablon success, performing weekly data imports from out utility bill processor, CASS, and serve as a secondary contact for our manufacturing sites.

Support OPEX Step Up card knowledge checks and training and assist in project implementation at manufacturing sites related to waste, water & energy to meet goals.

Communication & Customer Reporting:

Standardize data collection and calculation processes to ensure consistency for the Carbon Disclose Project, CDP, investor requests, and customer surveys.

Coordinate sustainability inputs for critical customer programs such as Gigaton, THESIS, Compass, Ecovadis, and other key initiatives.

Liaise with Corporate Communications and Human Resources to develop and implement effective sustainability communication strategies.

Packaging Analysis & Goal Support:

Support internal teams in achieving packaging goals by facilitating recycling instructions (including transition to digital solution/QR code), labeling compliance, and environmental impact assessments (LCA's).

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, accounting, engineering, or related field

2+ years of of business and environmental sustainability experience

Knowledge of relevant sustainability performance metrics (e.g. carbon & water accounting, solid waste)

Proven project management and problem-solving skills

Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex data, multiple sources of data, and layers of data and calculations

Demonstrated technical & quantitative skills including advanced experience with MS Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

Experience handling internal control systems and leading audits

Strong communication skills required to lead cross-functional meetings & work on teams

Flexible to support changing department needs

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

Exposure to sustainability measurement, certification and reporting frameworks (Climate Registry, WRI, CDP, Ecovadis, SBTi, TCFD, SASB)

Knowledge of Enablon Metrics Module or other sustainability data platform

Knowledge of Spotfire, Tableau, or other data analytic tools

Knowledge of LCA tools and development
