We are seeking a hands-on, highly engaged leader to serve as National Sales Manager in the VAR Integrator space. This role will lead a team of 2-3 sales professionals focused on driving wholesale fiber solution sales across Fidium's 20-state footprint. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with deep industry knowledge and a passion for engagement, activity, and structuring complex deals.
This is an early-career people leader role, ideal for someone ready to step into leadership or expand their management experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style, actively participating in sales efforts while coaching and developing the team. You will lead by example-setting the pace for activity, engagement, and customer interaction.
Responsibilities
Hands-On Leadership:
Actively engage in sales activities alongside your team, modeling best practices for prospecting, pipeline management, and deal closure.
Provide real-time coaching and feedback to develop team members' skills and confidence.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Drive wholesale sales of fiber-based solutions, including Ethernet, Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Wavelengths, Dark Fiber, and Fiber Broadband.
Develop and implement strategies to expand relationships with VARs and integrators nationwide.
Ensure consistent activity levels, pipeline development, and deal progression.
Complex Deal Structuring:
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, finance) to design and deliver tailored solutions for large and complex opportunities.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Market Engagement & Growth:
Build and maintain strong relationships with VARs, integrators, and wholesale partners.
Represent Fidium at industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
Qualifications
Experience:
7+ years in telecom or fiber-based solutions sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role.
Proven success in wholesale or channel sales environments.
Skills:
Strong understanding of fiber technologies and services (Ethernet, DIA, Wavelengths, Dark Fiber).
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
Advanced negotiation and complex deal structuring skills.
Attributes:
Highly motivated, hands-on leader with a focus on engagement and results.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-state environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Established and embedded relationships with Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and Systems Integrators in the telecom and fiber connectivity space.
Experience leveraging partner ecosystems to accelerate growth and close complex deals.

Salary
Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $130,000 - $145,000 Annual Salary Plus Commission
