Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Closeout Specialist for a fixed-term assignment, approximately 11 months, to facilitate the final inventory audit of a recently completed project. This temporary role is essential for ensuring all project materials are accurately reconciled, documented, and prepared for final plant clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform physical inventory: Conduct accurate piece counts of all project-related parts.
Material handling: Organize and box parts into designated storage totes.
Documentation: Accurately log inventory data onto a plant clearance spreadsheet.
Research and compliance: Research and document Federal Supply Classification (FSC) codes for all inventoried items.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer skills, specifically with spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel).
Ability to perform physical tasks, including counting, lifting, and boxing parts.
Commitment to completing the full duration of the project closeout.
Familiarity with inventory management or supply chain processes is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to write and operate office equipment including computers and effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
This position will assist in the processing of moving government owned property. Items may be up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment. Full time, 40 hours a week, standard business hours.
The candidate can expect to work most of their time in a storage area in the office, documenting and moving items to designated areas.
