About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated Packaging Associate to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, packaging, and preparing products for shipment in accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and familiarity with packaging processes within a manufacturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient production workflows while ensuring product integrity and compliance.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and package products using appropriate hand tools and mechanical knowledge to meet quality standards.
  • Operate packaging machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ensuring smooth and safe operation.
  • Follow established procedures aligned with FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines to maintain compliance.
  • Conduct quality checks on packaged items, verifying accuracy and integrity before shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse or production floor.
  • Use forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to move materials and finished goods.
  • Assist in inventory management by labeling, sorting, and documenting packaged products accurately.
  • Support assembly tasks as needed, collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
  • Perform routine maintenance on packaging equipment and hand tools to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in training sessions related to manufacturing best practices.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or warehouse environments is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and basic machinery.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations and CGMP standards applicable to pharmaceutical or food packaging.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of assembly processes within a production setting.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and stand for extended periods; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
