Job Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Location: Springfield, OH
Department: Manufacturing / Operations
Reports To: Plant Manager / Director of Operations
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, ensure efficiency, quality, and safety, and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for meeting production targets while continuously improving processes, reducing costs, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery goals

  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline employees

  • Monitor production schedules, labor utilization, and equipment performance

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams

  • Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities

  • Manage budgets, control costs, and minimize waste and downtime

  • Resolve production issues quickly and effectively

  • Support new product launches and process changes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety regulations

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage performance

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies

  • Background in high-volume or continuous manufacturing environments

  • Strong change-management and cross-functional leadership skills

  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on operational excellence
