Job Description
Title: Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time)
Location: Columbus, OH 43222
Duration: 03 Months to Long-Term
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 08:00 AM to 5:00 PM | 16-24 Hours/Week
Role & Responsibilities:
Develops and implements patient care plans; performs advanced nursing duties within scope of licensure.
Assesses, diagnoses, and manages acute and chronic conditions, including prescribing medications and treatments.
Conducts routine physical exams and monitors patient progress, intervening as needed.
Orders, reviews, and interprets labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests; administers vaccinations.
Performs minor procedures as permitted by training and competency.
Coordinates discharge planning, follow-up care, and referral consultations as appropriate.
Maintains accurate medical documentation in compliance with agency policies and professional standards.
Provides clinical guidance to nursing and support staff and collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer on quality oversight.
Participates in institutional meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities.
Serves as a clinical resource to patients and families, promoting health maintenance and risk reduction.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of advanced nursing practices, clinical procedures, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and patient assessment skills.
Proficiency with medical equipment and electronic documentation systems.
Ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and build positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications:
Valid NP License for the State of OH.
Current BLS/CPR Certification.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification.
National Provider Identifier (NPI) Card/Number.
