Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilledAssociate Fixture Design Engineerwithexpertisein Siemens NX to join ourTest Lab FixturingEngineeringDesign Team.

The ideal candidate willbe responsible fordesigning, creating,modifying, and managing 3D models and 2D drawings to meet fixturing and tooling requirements. This includes supporting both mechanical components and complete assemblies throughout the development and prototypeprocess.

This role demands strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability tomulti-taskand prioritizein a fast-paced environment focused on engineering test development and prototyping.

Job Duties and Responsibilities





Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Siemens NX.
Manage CAD data within PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) including maintaining version control and documentation of design iterations.
Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to support product development and design changes including:
Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements
Support prototype builds and testing support with accurate documentation
Interface with test and prototype teams at their respective workstations to gather feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and provide troubleshooting support.
Ensure designs meet company standards, industry regulations, and manufacturability requirements.

Education and Qualifications


Siemens NX for 3D modeling and draftingor equivalent.
Fixturing and prototype tooling design - (axles and driveshafts, 2 years preferred).
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles in prototype development and testing processes.
Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with PLM systems such as Teamcenter.
Familiarity with other CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
