Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable 2nd Shift Heat Treat Operator to join our manufacturing team in St. Marys, Ohio. This role is responsible for operating heat treat furnaces and related equipment to process metal components according to established specifications, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heat treat furnaces and related equipment
- Load and unload parts for processing
- Monitor temperatures, cycle times, and process controls
- Perform quality checks and inspections on treated parts
- Record production data and process results
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate any equipment issues or quality concerns to supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior manufacturing or heat treat experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to read work instructions and basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work 2nd shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
