 SUMMARY

Provides clerical support for Human Services Division of the agency.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The functions listed below are intended to depict general job assignments, abilities and responsibilities required of this position. Other duties as assigned.

Scans documents (current and historical. Sorts and distributes mail. Assists customers and provides support in application completion. Monitors application line and responds to inquiries. Assists with voicemail lines. Tracks applications and provides packets to customers. Electronically transfers case files to other Counties. Maintains inventory for unit. Assists with data entry functions. Maintain daily logs. Completes clerical duties (filing, phone calls, copying, etc.). Assist other divisions with preparing soft copy packets. Pick up, deliver, open, sort, date stamp and separate mail from appropriate units and outside divisions. Operates postage machine and prepares mail for collection by post office. Operates electric letter opener and envelope stuffer. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous clerical experience preferred.

 

CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES:

Valid Driver’s License.

 

COMPUTER EXPERTISE REQUIRED / EQUIPMENT OPERATED:

Ability to use, enter and retrieve data. Capacity to operate a computer and perform basic word processing type tasks (i.e., graphics, basic spreadsheets). Ability to type 25 wpm. Examples only of office equipment routinely used and are not intended to be all inclusive: Computer, printer, typewriter, copy machine, fax machine, telephone, postage meter, scanner and other general office equipment.

Details: Full time. First Shift. 40 hours/week. Monday through Friday. $18.26/hour.

 

Qualifications: High school diploma / GED. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

 

Driver’s License Requirement(s): Must Have Valid Driver’s License.
