Nursing Department
Full-time: 37.5 hours a week.
Schedule: M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Public Health Nurse 1 or 2
Pay Range: $22.42 - $30.16
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Nursing
Job Responsibilities:
Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Public Health Nurse will provide public health nursing services to individuals, families, and population groups. Identifies health problems, educates individuals about health issues, links individuals to needed personal health services to assure the provision of health care when otherwise unavailable. Collaborates and consults within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams in order to achieve desirable outcomes for families and communities. Coordinates health, and medical data to recommend appropriate care plans in compliance with applicable program standards, state laws and rules, and Board of Health adopted policies and regulations. Interactive discussions with citizens, vendors, patients, patrons, and applicants to gather and process information; cooperative/coordinating responsibility with other departments.
Qualifications:
Public Health Nurse 1:
- Associate of Science degree in Nursing and two (2) years of experience in a clinic/nursing role in public health or related agency. Must possess & maintain a valid & unrestricted State of Ohio license as a Registered Nurse. Valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and proof of auto liability insurance coverage required.
Public Health Nurse 2:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and two (2) years of experience in a clinic/nursing or public health nurse role. Or, Associate of Science degree in Nursing and seven (7) years of experience in a clinic/nursing or public health nurse role.
Must possess & maintain a valid & unrestricted State of Ohio license as a Registered Nurse. Valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and proof of auto liability insurance coverage required.
