Job Summary:

The Business Process Risk Identification (BPRI) Lead Process Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams across Key to document unique business process (UBP) workflows and dependencies from standard operating procedures, subject matter experts, and Key systems of record. The Lead Process Engineer identifies process optimization and risk mitigation opportunities through Key's structured BPRI program methodology. The Lead Process Engineer supports BPRI Sprint Execution activities for several UBPs concurrently, including, stakeholder mobilization, process discovery, risk and control analysis, the identification of gaps and opportunities, and ongoing documentation refresh requirements, ensuring program alignment with organizational objectives and BPRI Program requirements.

Essential Functions

Applies process development and engineering expertise to create innovative, long-term solutions focused on both client and employee experience.
Supports programs and leads projects targeting core business processes to achieve strategic goals such as enhanced client/employee experience and value realization (expense reduction and revenue growth).
Engages with key stakeholders to assess and implement new technologies and processes that improve efficiency and consistency.
Creates and maintains documentation used to evaluate current processes and design future-state recommendations.
Uses tools such as process mapping and process mining to assess process capability and identify improvement opportunities; communicates findings to stakeholders to inform specifications and improvements.
Leverages technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts to enhance monitoring, resiliency, and system availability.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of openness and inclusivity, ensuring delivery of expected outcomes and value.
Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Operational Excellence, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (preferred)

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis and/or process engineering (required)
Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership (preferred)
Background in IT or experience working with technology teams (preferred)
Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred)
Business Risk and Controls (preferred)
Third Party Management (preferred)

Proficient in process mapping, mining, and documentation
Familiar with process engineering tools and simulations

Physical Demands

General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Travel

Occasional travel to include overnight stay.

Driving Requirements

Ability to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

Certain primary locations are preferred for the position and if selected candidate is near certain KeyBank facilities, then the person will work partially from an office location.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
