The Agricultural and Commercial Relationship Manager is knowledgeable of Richwood Bank's full

spectrum of loan and banking services. This role is responsible for acquiring and retaining commercial

banking relationships. This role is responsible for evaluating and recommending the best products for

our business customers' needs, helping our customers through the application process from initial

paperwork to gathering necessary financial information and documents.

Essential Functions

  • Adheres to Richwood's management routines, provides guidance to team members, conducts coaching, delivers discipline, and completes performance reviews.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their business needs and financial goals.
  • Identify and screen new business opportunities for prospective clients, focusing primarily on agricultural and commercial lending opportunities and cross-selling and referring deposit relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships.
  • Develop customized lending solutions that align with client needs while adhering to the bank's credit policies and risk management guidelines.
  • Provide support to existing commercial and business banking clients, often coordinating with customer service, treasury management, portfolio management, and operations staff.
  • Ensure all loan documentation is complete and accurate, and that all transactions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments, including financial statement analysis, collateral values, cash flow projections, and risk evaluations to determine loan eligibility.
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to provide clients with relevant insights and advice.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for negotiations and issue resolution for the clients in your portfolio.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze various reports and financial data for tracking and reporting, developing business banking solutions, resolving issues, and minimizing risk.
  • Provide all information required to assist the credit staff in the preparation, analysis, and delivery of credit solutions for new and existing clients.
  • Ensure approval and rejection records are being maintained
  • Processes Loan applications, collects financial data, establish payment plans, and presents loan proposal details to prospective borrowers.
  • Accurately enters customer financial information in to processing software. Scans all documents and prepares files for loan administration processing.
  • Documents customer history and background for loan request as required for federal auditing committee
  • Collects and submits information for loan committee worksheets for presentation to loan committee
  • Works with loan processing to order appraisals, title work, and any closing loan docs
  • Performs Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and federal tax lien searches as needed
  • Inspects construction progress on applicable loans
  • Attends loan closing event and prepare all post-documentation for filing
  • Reviews past due accounts and contact customers to inquire about payment
  • Completes and submits loan maintenance forms when loan addendums are required.
  • Orders Loan payoffs
  • Contacts current loan customers with substantial loans for annual financial information collections as required by federal reserve
  • Attends meetings and other committees
  • Responds to Security Alarms if they are triggered
  • Participates in assigned trainings
  • Assists branch personnel with general opening/closing procedures and dual control measures when staffing requires
  • Ensures work completed is accurate and appropriate. Verifies and validates all data to confirm accuracy and reliability. Paying close attention to details of all information received and entered.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration (or equivalent degree) or equivalent years of experience required
  • 3 years banking experience preferred
  • Sales experience preferred
