Your responsibilities
Shift: 3rd Shift - 11:00 PM 7:15 AM (SundayThursday, OT on weekends as needed)

Pay: $18.25-$18.50/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential

The Material Handling Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials throughout the plant and warehouse to support production and customer requirements. This role operates various Material Handling Equipment (MHE), manages inventory transactions in SAP using RF scanners, and ensures material flow aligns with production demands. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety, quality, and 6S standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety and environmental policies.
Promote safety by reporting near misses and hazards, wearing required PPE, and encouraging safe behaviors.
Conduct and document daily MHE inspections and report concerns promptly.

Material Handling & Equipment Operation

Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including Tugger, Dock Stocker, Forklift, Reach Truck, Turret Truck, Order Picker/EKS, Scissor Lift, and Order Filler, to move and stage materials safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trailers using dock levelers and dock locks; ensure proper stacking and securement of materials.
Utilize banding and stretch wrap equipment to prepare materials for transport or storage.

Inventory & System Transactions

Pick, pull, stage, replenish, and put away materials to meet production and warehouse demands.
Execute reservation requests, transfer orders, bin-to-bin transfers, repacking, and dynamic Kanban picks.
Use SAP and RF scanners to process inventory transactions accurately, including receipts, returns, reservations, pick lists, and due lists.
Perform physical inventory counts and verify material weights and quantities using scales.
Label materials accurately to ensure proper identification and tracking.
Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to BLC Leadership.

Production & Material Flow Support

Restock supermarkets from AGV staging and maintain material flow to production lines.
Process sub-con handling units (HUs), returns, waste, recycling, and scrap requests within required timeframes.
Stage pallet line requests accurately to meet on-time delivery targets.
Deliver dunnage and materials to correct production lines based on customer and production requirements.

Your profile

Previous forklift or MHE experience preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain required licenses.

Stable work history with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Strong customer focus, work ethic, and willingness to support operational needs.

Basic math skills, including working with decimals; strong mechanical aptitude.

Logical problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and improve.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

Strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated reliability, initiative, integrity, and accountability.

Experience identifying or improving work processes is a plus.

Ability to work substantial overtime during peak production periods.


High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.
