Job Summary
Wauseon Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sixth Grade Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Facilitate engaging classroom activities that encourage student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through regular testing, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic achievements and areas for growth.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and a love for learning.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.
- Support students in developing study skills and strategies to enhance their mathematical understanding and confidence.
- Assist in the preparation and supervision of school events, including math-related competitions and extracurricular activities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license or certification for middle school mathematics.
- Proven experience in teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning experiences.
