Create CAE models of vehicles including mesh, materials, and properties and run using NASTRAN or other solvers. Post process and analyze results to understand modes, frequency response, transfer functions, and acoustic sensitivity. Create and champion C/M proposals with technical experts, and communicate cross-functionally to other departments while working to optimize cost / weight / investment. Maintain schedule to manage project milestone and create evaluation documents. Compare test/CAE data; propose suggestions to improve method and correlation. Follow up with team and other functional groups/departments to ensure NV spec is applied.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Engineering; 3 years of relevant professional experience; 3 years of applicable engineering experience; 3 years of experience with FE Modeling software, including proficiency with CAE pre and post processors such as ANSA, Hypermesh, MetaPost; 3 years of experience with CAD Modeling (CATIA preferred) and capable of manipulating, extracting models; 3 years of experience with Programming Languages, including MATLAB, Python & Excel VBA, and creating and maintaining scripts to aid in conducting simulations and post processing data; and 3 years of experience with Microsoft Power Point, including creation of engineering reports to explain results and recommendations to Technical Leaders and designers.
