Stark County TASC, Inc. is a dynamic behavioral health agency
providing services for individuals with both alcohol/drug and mental health needs.
Job Description:
Will provide recovery support to customers engaged in behavioral health services. Position will also include overseeing our Harm Reduction vending machine program. Appropriate candidates will be individuals who have lived experience in recovery and have sufficient ability to demonstrate the following skills: recovery from addiction and/or mental illness; knowledge of the recovery process, supports, and strategies; knowledge of area communities; practicing recovery values; ability to work with a diverse population; knowledge of community resources.
Vending Machine Operations
- Monitor and restock vending machines with harm reduction supplies.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure machines are functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs or maintenance with vendors/technicians.
Inventory & Data Management
- Track inventory levels and usage trends.
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed items and service logs.
- Assist with ordering and restocking supplies.
Community Engagement
- Collaborate with local partners, site hosts, and community members to support effective use of vending machines.
- Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to inform service improvements.
Education & Outreach
- Distribute educational materials on overdose prevention, safe use, and available services.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Assist in preparing reports for funders and public health agencies.
Qualifications:
- Lived or professional experience in harm reduction, substance use, public health, or social services.
- Strong commitment to harm reduction principles and non-judgmental service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and travel between vending machine sites.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Basic data entry and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift supplies (up to 25 lbs) and perform machine maintenance.
Please Note: Background checks and drug screen required and provided. Certified Peer Preferred. Will consider applicant who is ready to test for certification.
Details: Starting wage is $16.22 to $16.70 per hour, based on experience, education, skills and abilities. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week.
