About the job:

The Director of Strategic Planning & Operations serves as a key integrator between strategy, business unit and business segment execution, and company performance management. This leader will drive the Platforms business unit's strategic planning processes, quarterly and monthly operating rhythms, and cross-functional alignment including leading a program management team to ensure the business unit delivers on its growth and operational objectives.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational-able to translate executive vision, strategic goals and the financial plan into operating plans that can be mobilized, tracked, and measured. They should be able to facilitate effective decision-making and manage through a programmatic approach and cadence that keeps the organization running in sync and executing against our goals. The individual should have a strong history of achieving business outcomes for their customers and stakeholders through direct management of a team and cross functional alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Alignment

Lead the annual and quarterly strategic planning process, partnering with their business unit leader and functional executives to define priorities and growth initiatives and ensure they link to our financial plan and strategic goals.
Partners with the business Unit General Manager and leads an embedded Program function to support, aggregate and drive an integrated planning and execution program for the overall business. Partners with a team of programmatic professionals to drive the integrated approach end-to-end.
Develop and maintain a strategic planning calendar and governance model to ensure disciplined, timely inputs and decisions.
Partner with Finance to link strategic objectives with financial plans, budgets, and KPIs.
Tracks progress and accountability against strategic and program objectives
Facilitate strategy reviews and executive offsites; synthesize insights into clear recommendations for leadership and the company ELT.
Partners with executives on strategic initiatives and problem-solving

Operating Rhythm & Performance Management

Own the Business Units operating rhythm, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), monthly performance updates, and annual goal setting (OKRs/KPIs).
Owns the business cadence - e.g., Program Management, QBRs, staff meetings, performance reviews.
Establish and manage a consistent reporting framework for tracking progress against strategic and operational goals across business units.
Ensures alignment between cross-functional teams (GM, GTM, Product, Transformation, Finance, Px, Sales, Legal, HR, etc.).
Identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities-surface insights and propose corrective actions.

Direct & Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

Drives coordination and ensures alignment between cross-functional teams (GM, GTM, Product, Transformation, Finance, Px, Sales, Legal, HR, etc.).
Support executive decision-making with clear analysis, scenario modeling, and business cases.
Lead or support business unit-level strategic initiatives or transformation programs as needed.
Cultivate a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and transparency.

Executive Communication

Prepare Platforms ELT materials as needed, including strategic updates, operating performance summaries, and initiative progress.
Serve as a thought partner to the segment GM on business performance and strategic direction.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or FP&A, ideally in a multi-unit or global enterprise.
Proven success leading strategic planning and performance management processes across complex organizations.
Strong analytical, financial, and critical thinking skills; comfort linking strategic and operational metrics.
Exceptional executive communication and presentation abilities.
Demonstrated experience influencing and aligning cross-functional leaders without direct authority.
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred.

Worldpay is dedicated to offering individuals rewarding career opportunities and competitive compensation. For this full-time position, the good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $150,300.00-$226,950.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role's responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate's experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Please note that changes in work location may impact the final offered salary. We encourage you to consult with your recruiter to confirm the budget for your location and to better understand the applicable pay scale.
