About the role

The Laboratory Technicianis integral to the proper evaluation and compliance of the facility's waste analysis plan. This person will be responsible for performing onsite laboratory and testing procedures.They willdetermineacceptable waste-streams and work closely with operations to ensure proper processing. We value this position as part of our facility operations team andisaccountable for high quality standards and safe working conditions.

Position Responsibilities

Calibrate all laboratory equipment each morning.
Analyze and record all incoming samples and record results, hard copy and in computer system.
Analyze and complete bench study (treatability) on each incoming load, to include new samples.
Analyze materials received andcompareto the profile.
Maintain all lab equipment: GC/MS, ICP, FOG, Bomb Calorimetry, Mercury and Flash testing.
Analyzing samples for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Semi-volatile Compounds (SVOCs) and Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) using GC/MS methodsdictated by the EPA (ASTM).
Evaluate new samples todeterminetreatability; keep the laboratory clean and orderly.
Assistwith laboratory projects that result in improved cost, quality, efficiency, or other general process improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related discipline
MS Suite experiencerequired
Experience working with non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
Valid State Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hand tools preferred
At least 3 yearsof experience preferred

Physical Demands of the Role

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
Consistently work in various weather conditions

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 - $69,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
