Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Facilities / Maintenance
Employment Status: Full-Time, Unclassified

The Brown County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time, unclassified Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of County-owned buildings and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical work
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of County facilities
• Perform parking lot, grounds and exterior area clean-up, including litter removal and general upkeep
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies as assigned
• Coordinate and work with skilled trades and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or projects
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment, in a safe manner
• Comply with all applicable safety regulations and County policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with commercial buildings and facilities maintenance
• Knowledge of general maintenance practices and procedures
• Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Ohio driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage range: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
• This is a full-time, unclassified position eligible for the following benefits:
