Job Summary
The Operations Department Manager provides operational leadership to a team of professionals and/or managers, overseeing complex functions or products. This role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and collaboration to drive successful business outcomes, including large-scale continuous improvement or technology-driven initiatives. The manager builds strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure service excellence, maintains a deep understanding of operational processes, and ensures financial and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions

Oversee day-to-day activities (in-person and virtual) of one or more operations functions or products, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Hire, mentor, and lead an inclusive, high-performing team across multiple sites including meeting in-person with teams as needed.
Lead change initiatives and support team members onsite through transitions.
Design, implement, and test controls to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Serve as a business leader on strategic projects or continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage financial performance and execute human capital decisions to meet divisional goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners or vendors, including meeting in-person.
Lead interactions with regulators and auditors, enforcing a strong control environment.
Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in business, operations management or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)

Work Experience

3+ years of proven experience in operations leadership (required)
Financial services or regulated industry experience (preferred)
Familiarity with regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial performance oversight (preferred)

Physical Demands

General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Occasional travel to include overnight stay.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
