Position Title: Data Analyst
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Reports To: Corporate Financial Systems
Position Summary
The Data Analyst plays a key role in turning data into actionable insights that support business decision-making. This role is responsible for querying, analyzing, and visualizing data to create meaningful dashboards and KPIs that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical foundation, is comfortable working with data visualization tools, and understands basic financial concepts to effectively interpret and communicate performance trends. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
Key Responsibilities
Write and maintain basic SQL queries to retrieve, filter, and summarize data for reporting and analysis
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics that support business objectives
Translate raw data into clear, visual insights that are easily understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders
Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics, validate data, and ensure alignment with business goals
Analyze trends related to revenue, cost, margin, and performance to provide meaningful insights
Support ad hoc reporting and data requests as needed
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs
Manage multiple priorities effectively while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
1-3 years of professional experience in a data, analytics, or reporting role
Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write basic queries
Experience building dashboards and working with data visualization tools
Foundational understanding of finance concepts such as revenue, cost, margin, and performance tracking
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain data insights clearly
