Responsibilities:

A successful applicant will:

* Possess the ability to understand Autonomous vehicle system and architectures
* Foundational understanding of software and the software development process is key
* Performing the role of Autonomy Test Engineer across multiple acquisition efforts, to include: design, development, integration, test, deployment.
* Demonstrate skill sets in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python
* Familiar and skilled in modern autonomy practices and techniques
* Reasonable understanding with modern commercial software development practices and tools such at: AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Cucumber, Atlassian, Jenkins, etc.
* Experience with operating systems, container frameworks, and deployment targets.
* Knowledge in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets within operational environments.
* Familiarity with digital engineering best practices, to include use of model-based system engineering approaches.
* Assisting in development of RFP packages and other technical documentation for competition and acquisition of new systems.
* High-level familiarity with open system design concepts and open architectures.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Mentor junior employees and actively participate in their professional development
* Maintain a willingness to accept changing and evolving roles & responsibilities in support of customers' requirements and needs.
* Self-starting, charge-the-hill mentality to deliver mission capability at the speed of need.

Qualifications:

Required:

* 5-20 years direct hands-on experience (salary will be competitive, based on experience) with aerospace systems

Desired:

* Graduate of an accredited Test Pilot School
* Developmental Test and Operational Test operations experience
* Previous experience as a Military Pilot, Test Conductor or Test Director
* Experience with or knowledge of systems engineering processes and procedures
* Experience leading cross functional teams comprised of engineering, program management and technicians to successfully execute development and fielding of complex products

Clearance Requirements:

* Current TS clearance with eligibility for SCI
* U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
