Position Purpose:

In this position the intern will be exposed to a variety of Quality Engineering functions at a manufacturing plant level.

Essential Functions:


* Find gaps in procedures or processes following quality audit findings and edit/update training guides.
* Support quality technicians with their QAD, PFMEA (risk assessment), and control plan reviews and updates.
* Support QMS (quality management system) related activities, including documentation and approval processes.
* Assist quality technicians in non-conforming material disposition.
* Data analysis.
* Other projects as assigned.
Education and Training


* Enrolled student working towards a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
Minimum Qualifications


* Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
* Ability to manage multiple projects and strong planning skills.
* Ability to meet and communicate with employees in a one on one and group setting.
* Self-motivated and willing to learn.
* Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is a must.
* Knowledge of measuring devise use; digital calipers, micrometers, tape measures. Ability to work in metric and standard units.
* Effective verbal and written skills mandatory.
* Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required.
Physical Demands


* Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.
* Must be comfortable in an industrial environment.
* Minimally need to move about inside office and plant designated area.
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and safety shoes as required.
