Location: John McIntire Library (220 N. Fifth St. Zanesville, OH 43701)

Pay Rate: $15.79 to $17.18 per hour (40 hours per week, varied schedule)

Job Responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, the Customer Service Assistant will provide excellent customer service to our patrons.
• Shelve books and other library materials and maintain orderliness of library stacks.
• They will perform general customer service functions.
• May need to make supervisor-level decisions in the absence of the Customer Service Specialist.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:  

• Skill in providing high-quality customer service
• Ability to learn library policies and procedures; ability to alphabetize, file and perform basic clerical tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively; ability to work unsupervised 
• Skill in use of electronic devices such as computers, phones, tablets and eReaders
