We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a hands-on, well-rounded background in law firm billing to oversee financial operations in our Cleveland office. The ideal candidate will manage the full billing lifecycle, from pre-bill to collection, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising a team of local office billing and accounting staff and assisting in monthly billing and collection activities.
- Overseeing all check and expense reimbursement requests for the office.
- Providing accounting support locally including assisting the firmwide finance team with AR reports and collection procedures.
- Preparation of the local office operating budget.
- Compiling office financial reports, conducting analysis, and preparing reports as assigned.
We require a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years' accounting experience, with specific experience in the legal industry billing standards and e-billing processes. Prior supervisory experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Hands-on knowledge and experience with Aderant financial accounting software required. Additionally, to succeed in this role, the successful position holder will:
