About the Job

Job Description

As a member of the Advanced Test Engineering (ATE) team duties include complete accountability of all process definition: machine analysis for testing, productivity & process improvements, continuous improvements on lean implementations, and high-power test automation. Additional responsibilities include technical expertise in the pursuit of manufacturing excellence. Contributes to identifying and pursuing continuous improvement opportunities to enhance test methodologies. assists with safety and environmental compliance, employee involvement and new product introductions. Accountable for the development and management of capital and budgets

Responsibilities:


* Recommend solutions for enhancing test manufacturing efficiency.
* Day-to-Day resolutions of manufacturing/test issues encountered during execution
* Leads design and deployment of electrical test fixtures and work instructions.
* Creates and Maintains Process FMEAs and translates them into control plans.
* Tooling, fixturing and assembly-aid design, integration and implementation.
* Lessons-Learned from previous builds or process modifications.
* Design for manufacturing analysis of new designs.
* Investigate, purchase, and support the implementation of tooling and equipment for future strategic initiatives
* Owns the development and maintenance of new/current time standards/routings, and costing.
* Supports safety initiatives.
* Direct documentation of all Test related standard operating procedures within the applicable business area.
* Keep Test Manager informed of progress/problems. Recommends changes in procedures.

Qualifications:


* BSEE/BSEET in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in high power testing. Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
* Knowledge of AC and Power Distribution products is preferred.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
* Strong project management skills required
* Lean & Sig Sigma certifications or equivalents is desired
* Possess advanced experience in plant layout
* Intermediate AutoCAD skills preferred
* Demonstrates high attention to detail and accuracy
* Project Management
* Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards customer relations.
* Self-directed, good problem-solving skills.
