Responsibilities:
CMM Operation:
Intermediate to advanced understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD and T) is necessary.
Measure and inspect aerospace parts, fixtures and gauges as required.
Interpret and analyze collected inspection data ensuring compliance with customer information from engine manuals, engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Perform routine CMM probe calibration and equipment maintenance.

Quality Control:
Conduct first article, in-process and final part inspections.
Ensure all measurements are accurate.
Report conformance and nonconformance to recognized geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD and T) standards.
Identify and report any non-conforming parts based on deviations from specifications.
Develop and implement quality control procedures in collaboration with Quality Assurance personnel.

Documentation and Reporting:
Create detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all measurements and inspections.
Document CMM program updates and CMM operating procedures.
Provide feedback to Engineering, Production and Quality Assurance teams on measured results and potential improvements.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
Resolve measurement and quality issues by working closely with Engineering, Production and Quality Assurance team members.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing measurement accuracy and efficiency.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in CMM technology and programming techniques.

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in CMM operation.
Strong understanding of GD and T and mechanical drawings preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency using CMMs and related software.
Strong analytical and problem solving.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Work independently or as part of a team.
Communicate effectively with others.

Working Conditions:

This position operates in a manufacturing environment.
Occasional extended periods of standing and lifting of materials occurs.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the situation is required.
