WIOA Job Developer / Outreach Mentor:
 

This is a Regular, 24-hour per week, part-time position.

 

 

The rate of pay starts at $15.20 per hour. After successful completion of the initial trial period, the rate of pay increases to $16.59 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by a person in this position. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all duties that may be performed in such a position.

 

Assist in the incorporation of all WIOA/CCMEP changes as needed and see to it that the changes are maintained in all previous and future program work.

 

Complete an Initial Assessment on all participants which includes but is not limited to:

Evaluation of job skills and experience.

Job search.

 

Brief customer on requirements and benefits of CCMEP/WIOA programming.

 

Compile and organize customer documentation for permanent file.

 

Enter participant data into the State designated ARIES tracking system and other reporting software as directed.

 

Provide assistance with ROMA reporting as directed.

 

Perform Recruitment of new employers for CCMEP Participant Placements.

 

Provide Mentoring to CCMEP Participants including but not limited to:

Maintaining regular contact with CCMEP Participants in order to handle any problems that may arise at the worksites between participants and worksites.

The collecting and maintaining of accuracy of CCMEP Participant timesheets, along with assisting in the distribution of paychecks. This includes distributing and completing work evaluations, as well as meeting with the Participant and Supervisor.

Building a trusting relationship between yourself, the participant, and the worksite to ensure that our participants and worksites needs are being met.

Assist with Placements of CCMEP Participants

 

Provide monitoring of worksites to ensure that WIOA Regulations and CCMEP Rules are being adhered to.

 

Complete other duties as assigned by Program Director, CEO and/or Agency Administration or as necessary to obtain program goals.

 

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications listed below are guidelines for selection purposes; alternative qualifications may be substituted if there is a sufficient combination of Education and/or Experience to perform the Essential Duties/Responsibilities.

 

Education:

An AA or equivalent experience in business or related field is preferred.

Experience:  

A minimum of one year experience working in a customer service and/or direct social service environment is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

A thorough knowledge of, and/or the ability to read, interpret, and consistently apply Program Guidelines/Regulations, Personnel Policies and Procedures, standards, laws and other compliance mandates.

 

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must possess the ability to develop positive relationships with clients, vendors and community partners; relate well with others, be empathic and supportive with clients; work both independently and as part of our local community social service network to effectively and efficiently resolve crisis situations.

 

Proficient in the operation of computers, software, email, and other office equipment including, but not limited to, telephone, fax machine, copier, scanner or any other equipment necessary to complete the essential duties of the position.

 

Additional Requirements:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and reliable transportation.

 

Completion of required trainings.

 

Present a positive image of the agency to members of the community.
