Job description:
The Shop Technician Assistant supports daily shop operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. This position assists shop technicians and supervisors with basic tasks, errands, and general labor as needed. It is an entry-level role ideal for someone reliable, hands-on, and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the shop, yard, and work areas
- Organize, store, and put away tools, equipment, and materials
- Assist shop technicians with basic tasks as needed
- Run errands and pick up parts or supplies when required
- Help load, unload, and move materials or equipment
- Perform general shop duties and labor as assigned
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus, but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Work Environment
- Shop and outdoor work environment
- Physical labor including standing, lifting, bending, and reaching
- Exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, dust, and equipment
