 Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Sealcoat Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the application of sealcoat on parking lots, driveways, and other surfaces. The position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a physically active environment, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of various surfaces. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn new skills in the construction and surface maintenance industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and ensuring they are ready for sealcoating application
• Operate sealcoating equipment and tools safely and efficiently
• Mix materials according to project specifications
• Apply sealcoat evenly across designated surfaces using brushes, squeegees, or spray equipment
• Assist with surface preparation tasks such as filling cracks or minor repairs
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment throughout the job
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to quality standards

Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail to ensure even application of sealcoat
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
• Basic understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor construction work
• Prior experience with seal coating, or construction work is a plus but not required
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required
