Job Description:

AZZ has an exciting First Shift opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at our Canton East facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will perform maintenance services in the areas of PMs, basic plumbing and electricity, welding and machine servicing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repairs, replaces and reassembles defective equipment parts using hand and power tools.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and determines how to correct them.
• Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience required.
• Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is a plus.
• Welding/fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical systems, cranes, hoists and forklifts preferred.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to learn new skills is a must!

Minimum Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Details: Full time. First Shift (4:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - subject to change). 40 hours/week. Monday through Friday. $23.00 to $25.00/hour (based on experience).

Qualifications: High school diploma / GED. Must have at least 2-3 years of experience. Must be able to lift 50 to 100 lbs.

Driver’s License Requirement(s): Must have a valid driver’s license.
