Munich Re America Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Application Developer for its Amelia, OH location.
Duties: Provide technical support to the Specialty Client division including new partner development and production support of existing clients. Participate in all aspects of Agile project development to onboard new Specialty Client partners into the American Modern systems. Act as project lead for the IT development team, directing the onboarding of new IT developers, scheduling assignments and reviewing code – with unit and integration testing. Coding to meet latest requirements and predefined coding standards. Resolve code vulnerabilities and apply all required security controls. Resolve any issues with the partner feeds and processing into systems. Perform mapping of data elements from the partner system to American Modern’s system. Perform the code merge process for implementation to production and support activities. Oversee claims integration with external Specialty Client partners. Coordinate and test disaster recovery processes for the Specialty Client systems.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field plus 7 years of experience as an Application Developer, Software Developer, Software Engineer, or closely related position. Prior work experience must include using: Leading mainframe based technology projects and teams using IBM Mainframe and Unisys Mainframe; Experience leading Information management based technology projects and teams working with offshore developers, onsite contract project managers and 3rd party vendors; Experience in staff management including the hiring, performance management, and termination of staff; Knowledge of Specialty Property and Casualty Insurance business processes for Farm & Ranch, Renters, Collector Vehicle, Pet and Wildfire products to apply technical solutions; Apache CAMEL Integration framework and Camel CXF, Java Spring, Oracle – SQL/PLSQL, SOAP/REST, Spring JPA, XML and XSD in daily development activity; Control-M in daily job monitoring and configuration of new jobs; Tortoise SVN to review code delivered by offshore or to check-in code; Azure APIM for testing external vendor APIs and configuring the same in Azure; GitHub for checking in Azure related code; Teamscale to check code quality; Opentext Fortify in development to check for security vulnerabilities in code; and Maven to build application artifacts and introduce new binary. May telecommute but must have ability to report Amelia, OH office 2 times per week. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $150,100 to $150,100 per year plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
