Shipping Team Member
Location: Fairfield, OH 45014
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM **Hours will fluctuate based on the shipping schedules and company needs**
Pay: $19 per hour
Environment: hot, humid, dusty
The Bug Company is a leader in the pet industry, specializing in the safe shipping of live insects for reptile and exotic pet owners nationwide. We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented team members who enjoy an active, hands-on, fast-paced work environment.
The Shipping Bulk Specialist is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping live insect orders. This role involves handling live insects, ensuring order accuracy, and maintaining efficient shipping operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they meet the company standards.
- Package products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Accurately label packages with the correct shipping and product information.
- Report any inventory or service issues to leadership.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all orders are fulfilled and dispatched on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment and tools, reporting any malfunctions or supply needs.
- Handle delicate items with care and special attention to packaging guidelines.
- Enhance department reputation by taking ownership of new and different tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to handle live insects
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Basic math skills (counting, labeling, measuring)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable and willing to learn
