Job Summary:

BDO's Creative Services Senior Design Specialist is a visual storyteller that creates compelling visual solutions that engages, inspires, and educates. Independently and with support of Creative Services leaders and other team members, the Senior Design Senor Specialist will combine foundational design principles with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and presentation best-practices, as well as advanced knowledge of design programs and process, to create inspiring and impactful PowerPoint-based deliverables and other creative projects. These presentations and projects are used in print and digital formats for clients, events, trainings, and speaking engagements, and are key elements in marketing strategies for both internal and external audiences. This position requires strong communication and writing/editing skills, strong time and project management skills, creative adaptability, focused attention to detail, the ability to produce quality work in a deadline-oriented environment, and the willingness to learn and grow as a creative professional.

Job Duties:


Designs and produces PowerPoint-based and interactive visual content in the form of client and prospect presentations, meeting support deliverables, internal- and external-facing training materials, reports, and other related material
Designs and produces visual content for print and digital/interactive environments, which may include event signage and tradeshow displays, short- and long-form articles and reports, interactive experiences, marketing collateral and other sales material, data and information graphics, email assets, and web & social media graphics
Edits images, formats text, and creates custom charts, graphs, tables, icons and other infographics for use in presentations in alignment with brand guidelines, leveraging stock assets as necessary
Reviews and edits engaging copy and messaging for presentations and other, related deliverables as needed
Leads and/or provides significant support on presentation and design projects and internal focus areas
Works independently and collaborates with other team members and internal clients to establish clear creative direction that can be converted into a design that connects, executing on that direction with confidence
Researches and understands firm audiences and makes appropriate structure, layout, and imagery recommendations
Supports the creation, evolution, maintenance and modification of master PowerPoint templates and internal, editable PowerPoint graphics resources for diverse needs
Illustrates visual concepts by designing and refining layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
Champions the BDO brand to ensure all marketing and communications reflect the firm's messages, positioning and visual identity
Supports the development of tools and resources to communicate corporate visual identity and design processes in alignment with global standards and industry best practices
Helps ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all materials by carefully reviewing work and adhering to the correct use of established brand standards, national marketing protocol and defined processes
Maintains team digital file management system and follows backup best practices
Identifies industry, design, and presentation trends, and focuses on building technical knowledge by attending workshops/webinars, reviewing professional publications, and/or participating in professional societies

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:


Bachelor's degree, required
Major in Graphic Design, Illustration, Marketing, Communications, Technology, Media, or Journalism, preferred

Experience:


Three (3) or more years of design or marketing and communications experience, required
Experience working within a professional services environment (i.e., accounting, financial consulting, business advisory services and/or banking industries), preferred

License/Certifications:

Software:


Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, required
Advanced experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, required
Experience with interactive content creation tools, like Ceros, Outgrow, and ContentTools, preferred
Experience with Prezi or similar applications, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $74,000 - $85,000 Maryland Range: $74,000 - $85,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $74,000 - $85,000
