Occupational EMT – On-Site Plant Emergency Care (Contract to Hire)
Location: Fairfield, OH 45014
Job Type: 13-week contract with high likelihood of permanent hire
Pay: $40.00 – $42.00 per hour
Shifts Available: 2nd Shift (1:30 pm – 11:00 pm), 3rd Shift (9:30 pm – 7:30 am)
Weekend availability is required
Alto Healthcare Staffing is seeking certified EMTs to provide on-site emergency medical support in an industrial/plant environment. You will respond to workplace injuries, provide first aid, CPR, and AED care, and help maintain a safe, healthy work environment. This role is not ambulance work — you will work directly in the plant alongside employees and management.
What You'll Do
- Respond to workplace injuries and medical emergencies promptly and professionally
- Provide First Aid, CPR, and AED care to employees as needed
- Assist with OSHA and Workers’ Compensation recordkeeping and documentation
- Support plant safety and wellness initiatives, including safety audits and employee health programs
- Communicate with management, HR, and healthcare providers regarding work restrictions and medical recommendations
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED, plus current EMT license/certification in Ohio
- Minimum 2–5+ years EMT experience; occupational or industrial experience preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation guidelines preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
- Physically able to access all plant areas, climb stairs/ladders, walk on slippery floors, and lift up to 50 lbs
