Job Summary – A Garage Manager oversees daily workshop operations, supervising staff, managing repair schedules, and ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient vehicle maintenance. They are responsible for customer service, inventory control, budget management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA), acting as a liaison between technicians and customers
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day activities of the repair facility, including organizing, planning, and directing work.
- Team Supervision: Supervise mechanics and staff, providing training, conducting performance evaluations, and maintaining a motivated team.
- Customer Service & Scheduling: Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and bookings while ensuring timely, high-quality repairs.
- Technical Oversight & Quality Control: Diagnose complex problems, check completed work for quality standards and ensure safety compliance.
- Inventory & Financial Management: Order parts, manage inventory, control budgets, and maintain financial records.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and OSHA standards for safe working habits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive repair, mechanics, and maintenance procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in supervising personnel and managing team performance.
- Organizational & Communication Skills: Ability to handle, manage, and coordinate multiple tasks, schedules, and personnel efficiently.
- Customer Service: Ability to handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Administrative Skills: Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and using inventory software.
Typical Qualifications
A high school diploma is usually required, often with relevant vocational training or experience in automotive technology. Experience in a supervisory role is highly desired.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Wage: Starting rate is $15/hour based on skill level
