Job Description
Our customer is a metal stamping and precision grinding manufacturer in St. Marys, Ohio, with a full range of in-house services, including heat treatment, barrel polishing, CNC machining and automated assembly per customer specification. We serve the automotive industry, producing components for Honda, Toyota, Nissan and GM plants in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Key Responsiblities:
Production Oversight: Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
Technical Operations: Monitor machinery, perform necessary adjustments, and use industrial shop tools to ensure proper operation.
Quality & Safety: Ensure all products meet quality specifications, maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with OSHA and company policies, and enforce 5S standards.
Team Leadership: Train, develop, and coach staff to improve skills and ensure production demands are met.
Documentation: Complete required paperwork and electronic updates, including daily production reports.
Maintenance: Assist with or advise on equipment maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications & requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with press operations or as a team lead.
Skills: Ability to read, interpret, and follow production drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Technical Ability: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC or press operations, and familiarity with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers).
Leadership: Strong communication skills to lead a team, resolve conflicts, and interact with management.
Physical: Ability to stand for long periods.
