Job Description
Under direction of the PA administrator, provides direct supervision to eligibility/referral specialists; attends hearings with eligibility referral specialists, clients, and attorneys; communicates with outside agencies concerning employment of clients on public assistance (e.g., over phone and in-person); completes and forwards reports, forms, and case files regarding unit; provides guidance on the computer system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year of experience as a Quality Control Reviewer, in
an Eligibility/Referral Unit, or 2 years experience as an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 2, or
3 years experience as an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 1, or completion of undergraduate
major core coursework in Behavioral Science or Social Science or education. Also requires
1 year of experience in a position similar to a Quality Control Reviewer, or 2 years of
experience in a position similar an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 2, or 3 years experience in
a position similar to an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 1, or completion of 2 years of
technical education in Behavioral Science or Social Science. Also requires 1 year of
experience in a position similar to a Quality Control Reviewer, or 2 years of experience in a
position similar an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 2, or 3 years experience in a position
similar to an Eligibility/Referral Specialist 1, or 4 courses or 2 years experience in
Behavioral Science or Social Science, 1 course or 6 months experience in business
mathematics, 1 course or 6 months experience in business English, 1 course or 6 months
experience in interviewing techniques, and 1 course or 6 months experience in typing,
keyboarding or word processing. Also requires 1 year of experience in a position similar to
a Quality Control Reviewer, or 2 years of experience in a position similar an
Eligibility/Referral Specialist 2, or 3 years experience in a position similar to an
Eligibility/Referral Specialist 1, or 2 years of, or education, training and/or experience in
an amount equal to the Minimum Qualifications stated above.
