Duties: Develop hardware and software integrated systems for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles. Perform system verification, and vehicle validations of specification targets through application of engineering principles, simulations, and physical testing. Create/maintain accurate technical, development, and administrative documentation. Establish cost targets for responsible parts. Create and manage schedule of individual work to ensure deadlines are met. Effectively utilize contractor resources. Communicate project statuses. Participate in meetings, and development events. Support market quality improvement themes. 10% travel to unanticipated domestic and international locations is required.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Eng., Computer Science, Mechatronics Eng., or Mechanical Eng. plus 4 yrs exp. Req. skills: 4 yrs exp in automotive related field; 4 yrs exp operating vehicles in real-world & lab environments to evaluate performance against requirements; 4 yrs exp instrumenting & acquiring various types of data from vehicles & systems (CAN, analog, serial, etc.) for analysis; & 4 yrs exp using CAN communication networks to communicate w/ control units for data acquisition, calibration, and diagnostics; 4 yrs exp modifying calibrations & flash control units to alter vehicle and system performance; & 4 yrs exp creating report documents for technical evaluation events. May work from any location in Ohio subject to company hybrid work policy.
