Deli Assistant – Part Time

Job Summary:
A Deli Assistant supports daily operations of a deli department by preparing food items, assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, wraps, and hot foods
• Slice meats and cheeses using deli equipment
• Package and label food items correctly
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas
• Restock display cases and monitor product freshness
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with inventory and receiving deliveries

🔹 Skills & Qualifications:

• Customer service experience preferred
• Basic food handling knowledge
• Ability to operate slicers and kitchen equipment safely
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
