Deli Assistant – Part Time
Job Summary:
A Deli Assistant supports daily operations of a deli department by preparing food items, assisting customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, wraps, and hot foods
- Slice meats and cheeses using deli equipment
- Package and label food items correctly
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas
- Restock display cases and monitor product freshness
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory and receiving deliveries
🔹 Skills & Qualifications:
- Customer service experience preferred
- Basic food handling knowledge
- Ability to operate slicers and kitchen equipment safely
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30–50 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
