Position Summary:
This part-time role with Product Connections (Acosta Group) is responsible for preparing juice and other specialty food products for purchase, conducting in-store sampling and product demonstrations, and supporting marketing events. The position requires adherence to strict safety, food handling, and compliance standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile work environment. Team members assist with setup, teardown, and kitchen duties as needed, ensuring all products are prepared, packaged, labeled, and merchandised correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare the area for specialized food products, following program instructions and production requirements.
Conduct product demonstrations and sampling in support of marketing events, adhering to general setup and teardown guidelines.
Follow all safety procedures when using equipment (hot machinery, sharp utensils) and practice proper lifting techniques for heavy items.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation, using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
Accurately complete reporting requirements, including online documentation.
Monitor event schedules, corporate updates, and supervisor requests to ensure timely and compliant execution of tasks.
Attend required training sessions and maintain relevant food safety certifications.
Support teammates during events, including setup, cleanup, and kitchen duties as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in product marketing, product demonstrations, or the food, beverage, or restaurant industry is preferred.
Ability to safely prepare food, operate machinery, and conduct demonstrations.
Applicable state and local food safety certification or license required.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, push heavy wheeled equipment (50–600 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in hot or cold environments.
Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively, and interact with customers.
Bilingual skills may be required based on business needs.
Work Environment:
Retail store setting with moderate to high noise levels, exposure to refrigerated and hot environments, food products, and cleaning chemicals.
Regular interaction with coworkers, management, and customers.
