SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 75 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
Worker will be required to complete the following activities as instructed by supervisor: plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, prune, hoe, stake, and harvest to quality standards Apples, Asparagus, Blackberries, Cherries, Corn Stalks, Cucumber, Eggplant, Flowers, Green Beans, Gourds, Grain, Herbs, Lavender, Peaches, Peppers, Pumpkins, Raspberries, Rhubarb, Saskatoon, Strawberries, Squash, Tomato, Tomatillo, and Zucchini; prepare fields for planting; operate forklifts, tractors, trucks, and other farm equipment during field operations incidental to the production and harvest of the various crops; general farm, equipment, vehicle, field, property, and orchard maintenance and clean up tasks, including mowing grass, raking leaves, pulling brush. maintain harvest containers, buckets, bags, bins, baskets, trays, and other equipment; trim, train, trellis, prune, thin and tie plants and fruit trees; seed, transplant, prune, maintain, and harvest flowers, including annual and perennial plants; set up, operate, and maintain irrigation equipment; and packing activities including clean, sort, grade fruits and vegetables, and load, stack, repair and assemble boxes and bins. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
