REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 03/30/2026-12/24/2026. Must agree to work Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day, Sat, 8 hours. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 1 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities.
Crops/Commodities: Game birds/eggs. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): Perform manual tasks associated with the seasonal production of game birds on the farm. Tend and care for flocks throughout the production cycle. Prepare, set up, clean, and sanitize pens, barns, houses, feeders, and waterers. Raise game birds, from hatching eggs through maturity. Collect eggs, wash and place in cooler. Sort and pack eggs into trays or boxes for storage or incubation. Transfer eggs to incubators and hatchers as part of the on-farm production process. Move birds to pens as required for proper flock management and production needs. Monitor flock behavior to detect any signs of illness or injury. Feed and water birds according to established schedules. Examine birds for injury or disease. Remove and/or dispose of injured, sick or dead birds. Catch birds with nets or by hand. Maintain sanitary conditions and healthy living conditions for birds. Mow, cut, and weed fields. Perform ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, ground preparation, and other manual tasks. Bending, stooping and kneeling required. Use hand tools including but not limited to hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws. Lift, carry, and load/unload products or supplies. Assist with farm building/field maintenance and repairs. Repair fences. Maintain equipment and pens. Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required. Must report for work daily wearing work clothing and boots or other durable foot wear. Workers wearing clothing inappropriate for work will not be permitted to start work. Outdoor work required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Temperatures in fields during working hours may vary. Workers may be required to work during occasional showers not severe enough to stop operations. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, honey bees, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, or related chemicals may affect a worker's ability to perform the job. Work is done outdoors for long periods of time and requires prolonged periods of standing and/or walking, repetitive movements, and frequent bending and/or stooping. Workers must be able to handle, lift, and carry heavy or bulky objects (product, containers) in accordance with the specified lifting requirements. Supervisor(s) will provide instructions and directions to workers. Workers must be able to comprehend and follow instructions and communicate effectively to supervisors. Job opportunity is Skill Level I. All primary duties are entry-level and require close supervision and/or a short demonstration of the task by a more experienced worker. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break. Workers will report to work at the designated time as directed by the employer each day. There will be 2 shifts occurring for the entire contract. The first shift will begin at 6:00am and end at 3:00pm. The second shift will begin at 10:00am and end at 7:00pm. Additional hours may be offered, however, workers will not be required to work more than 8 hours per day. TERMINATION. Prior to any termination for cause, employer evaluates workers' performance of required tasks and compliance with Work Rules and other employer policies. Employer may terminate a worker for cause if the worker's performance consistently and/or substantially fails to satisfy the employer's reasonable expectations (in accordance with the criteria set forth herein), or otherwise engages in serious or egregious misconduct that endangers health, safety, or property.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
