Job description:

Seeking a driven, ambitious Behavioral Health Technician for a state-of-the art Substance Use Disorder Recovery center in Defiance, Ohio. To support the daily needs of the facilities clients and support Clinical staff, as needed. Hiring immediately some weekends required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in applied behavior analysis and client care
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation
• Experience working with individuals with SUD
• Skills in verbal de-escelation, crisis intervention and aggression control

Responsibilities

• Assist with intake assessments and develop individualized care plans based on client needs
• Dictation of daily reports and a positive attitude to bring to this developing team at Legends Recovery
• Monitor and document patient behaviors, progress, and vital signs accurately in medical records
• Implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors
• Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations safely and effectively
• Support clients with activities of daily living, including social work interventions and patient care tasks
• Collect data on behavioral patterns and assist in medical documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure consistent treatment approaches
• Conduct regular safety checks, manage behavior issues, and assist with medical terminology understanding as needed

Experience

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations involving PTSD care or behavioral health crises effectively
• Strong communication skills for documentation, intake procedures, and teamwork are required
