Resident Assistant / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Employment Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $16–$22 per hour (based on experience)
Shift Differentials: Additional pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Resident Assistants / CNAs to provide resident‑directed care in an assisted living environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy building relationships, supporting independence, and creating a warm, respectful home for older adults.
🧩 Position Summary
The Resident Assistant / CNA is responsible for delivering holistic, resident‑centered care that promotes independence, dignity, safety, and quality of life. In addition to personal care, this role supports the daily living environment through meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and resident engagement.
📝 Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) per resident service plans
- Communicate with residents in a manner that promotes dignity, respect, and compassion
- Assist with medication reminders and self‑administration, in accordance with policy
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks; clean up after meals
- Perform laundry of resident clothing, linens, and towels
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
- Document care provided accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Support resident choice, autonomy, and safety
- Provide meaningful engagement and activities for residents
- Participate in quality assurance and follow organizational policies
- Perform other related duties as requested to support resident needs
✅ Qualifications
- Resident Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience preferred
- Ability to assist and engage individuals with dementia or memory loss
- Willingness to complete required training prior to or upon hire, including:
- Level I Food Safety
- First Aid
- Dementia Care
- Medication Self‑Administration
- Basic computer skills (email, internet, electronic documentation)
- Cooking and housekeeping skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
