Job Description

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo's Masstron Manufacturing Plant is seeking to hire a Machinist to operate our Brake Press and support our floor scale production line. As our Machinist you will operate various pieces of equipment including a sheet metal shear, brake, saw, and machining center.

Your responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:

Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions Accurately enter data into the MRP (e.g. SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated
Maintain quality throughout the process
Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery
Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, work in other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders
Actively participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives
Operate fork trucks and cranes while performing daily activities safely
Identify and implement safety improvements

What You Need to Succeed

Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment (jib,Plasma CNC machine and Press brake)
Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation
Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.)
Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes and safely operate a forklift
Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations
Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques
Ability to work overtime when required (some on weekends)

This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
Minimum Education / Experience Required:

Highschool Diploma or GED required
