JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. We are a family farm that raises corn and soybeans in Central Indiana. Employees will need to arrive in February to start with hauling grain out of grain bins to empty for the upcoming season and work on equipment to prepare them for the planting season which starts on March 1. We plant around 1,800 acres of corn and 1,600 acres of soybeans. We need an employee that will be able to assist with the operation of farm equipment, including tractors and farm trucks, to till the ground and haul the grain to storage locations. Employee will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. *** Please note for 2026 we will need our employees to arrive in February to assist with hauling grain out of grain bins and prepare equipment for the planting season that will start on March 1.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
